August 2, Market Rockets, The EGX 100 is Launched
The Egyptian Stock Market had a rocket like day today, as all indexes made strong rallies.
The EGX 30 gained 191 points and closed at 6364.7 points, a 3.1% increase for the day. The EGX 70 indicator gained 17.7 points and closed at 715.3 points, a 2.53% increase. The Dow Jones EGX Titans 20 indicator gained 38.9 points, and closed the trading session on Sunday at 1322.7 points, a 3% increase for the day.
The Egyptian Exchange launched a new Index Indicator, The EGX 100, which tracks the performance of the 100 active companies, including both the 30 constituent-companies of EGX 30 Index and the 70 constituent-companies of EGX 70 Index. Read More.
