The Egyptian Stock market broke a three day loosing streak with moderate gains in all three indexes. The EGX 30 indicator gained almost 134 points to close the trading session on Wednesday at 6210.39 points, a 2.16% increase. The EGX 70 added almost 188.41 points to close at 632.42, a 2.83% increase. Finally, the Dow Jones EGX Titans 20 Index gained 22 points to close at 1,278.34, a 1.73% increase.
In business news today, Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), stated that it has entered a 50/50 joint venture with Spanish group Aqualia. The joint venture was awarded of New Cairo sewage with a total value of LE 2.646 billion (US$ 470 million) and for a period of 20 years of usufruct. Click here for the press release.
